TPXimpact is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to shape the technical direction of high-profile projects and lead delivery of modern, scalable software. You will mentor engineers across teams, line-manage a group, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate complex problems into robust solutions.
We expect deep experience across languages and frameworks, cloud platforms, and a proven track record in software architecture design.
Qualifications
- Extensive software engineering experience with large-scale systems.
- Polyglot across Python, Java, Kotlin, Node.js, C#, JavaScript, Express, React, Next.js.
- Mentor engineers and lead architecture initiatives.
- Cloud platforms, microservices, modern software development practices.
- Direct line management experience.
- Excellent communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of advanced software solutions with focus on quality, security, and scalability.
- Set the technical direction for projects and influence the wider technology strategy.
- Provide line management for a group of engineers (up to six).
- Provide technical leadership and coaching to foster excellence and learning.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate business problems into robust solutions.
- Champion modern engineering practices including CI/CD, test automation and IaC.
- Foster DevOps culture enabling automation, delivery and reliable operations.
- Drive evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies.
- Lead technical due diligence during scoping, bids and opportunities.
- Represent engineering in strategic discussions shaping roadmap.
- Anticipate and manage project risks.
