Job summary

Acceler8 Talent is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to own the technical direction and architecture of a major product area while continuing to design and build complex production software. You will work with talented engineers, product and design, with genuine influence over what gets built, how it’s built and where the product goes next.

You’ll ideally bring strong skills across C++, Java, Rust, Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript, and experience leading or mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in C++, Java, Rust, Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience designing and delivering complex production systems.
• Strong architectural judgement and pragmatic decision‑making.
• Experience leading, mentoring or managing engineers.
• Interest in using modern AI coding tools effectively.
• Experience with Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, embedded systems, ML or application security is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction and architecture of a major product area.
• Design and build complex, mission‑critical production software.
• Lead, mentor and raise the bar for other engineers.
• Influence product, architecture and roadmap decisions.
• Improve engineering standards through code reviews and technical leadership.
• Build with security, reliability and scalability at the core.
