Job summary

Very Group is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead technical direction across multiple squads and collaborate with Product Managers, architects and engineers to shape both what we build and how we build it.

You will design and evolve cloud-native, scalable Java applications on AWS, mentor engineers, raise technical standards, and drive CI/CD improvements while remaining hands-on where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex software at scale.
• Strong knowledge of Java and AWS cloud services.
• Ability to shape architecture, set technical direction and influence multiple squads.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical standards across teams.
