Job summary

TPXimpact in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions. You will work on complex software projects, mentoring junior engineers and driving best practices across teams.

You will collaborate with product, UX/UI, DevOps and QA, lead CI/CD initiatives, review code, troubleshoot issues, and stay current with cloud-native trends while promoting secure by design principles.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in full-stack software development, including design, development, testing and deployment.
• Significant hands on experience with Java, Spring Boot and Microservices.
• Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps practices, with CI/CD focus.
• Proficiency in one or more languages (Python, Java, JavaScript) and architecture patterns.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and IaC.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing and modern practices.
• Knowledge of microservices, containers (Docker, Kubernetes) or serverless.
• Awareness of well-architected and secure-by-design principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex software solutions that are robust, secure, tested and scalable.
• Contribute to architecture decisions aligned with project and business goals.
• Mentor and support junior engineers to develop skills and best practices.
• Collaborate with product, UX/UI, DevOps, and QA to meet business requirements.
• Implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines to improve development efficiency and quality.
• Conduct code reviews to enhance team performance and code quality.
• Troubleshoot technical issues to ensure smooth operation.
• Stay current with industry trends and integrate beneficial technologies.
• Drive improvements in coding standards, testing, and documentation.
• Engage in early-stage discussions providing technical insights.
• Ensure processes are followed and contribute to process improvements.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
