Job summary

JPMorganChase in the Finance Technology division seeks a Principal Software Engineer (Executive Director) to design and deliver scalable, secure technology platforms. You will hands-on build APIs and data pipelines for large data sets, while guiding technical direction and governance across teams.

You will lead architecture, reviews, and the adoption of AI-enabled development practices, ensuring security, resiliency, and cost efficiency as the platform scales for firm-wide use.

Qualifications

• Expert in one or more programming languages, preferably Java.
• Experience designing and leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled development practices across teams.
• Practical cloud native experience and production-grade API design.

Responsibilities

• Create complex, scalable coding frameworks using established design patterns.
• Lead technology implementations across groups in a matrix model to meet firm objectives.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts ensuring constraints are met by code.
