Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Expert in one or more programming language(s), preferably Java
• Demonstrated experience designing and leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled development practices across teams
• Experience applying expertise to determine solutions for complex technology problems
• Ability to present and effectively communicate with Senior Leaders and Executives
• Practical cloud native experience
• Experience designing and operating platform APIs and data services
• Hands-on experience building high-volume, data-intensive systems with latency, freshness, and resilience considerations
• Experience delivering an internal platform as a product with measurable adoption across teams

Responsibilities

• Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design frameworks
• Defines and leads multiple technology and process implementations across groups to achieve firmwide technology objectives
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Architects and governs AI-enabled engineering workflows with guardrails for validation and security
• Applies SDLC tooling knowledge to improve automation and value
• Advises cross-functional teams on technological matters and serves as SME
• Contributes to development of technical methods in line with product development
• Influences leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams
• Engineers the platform's data access layer, owning latency, freshness, resiliency, and cost at scale
• Defines how SDLC controls and automation execute against real code structure and drives adoption
