Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain advanced AI products within the Applied Innovation Engineering team in CDAO Technology.

You will collaborate with software engineers, data engineers and data scientists to deliver trusted AI solutions that support long-term business growth. You’ll help scale AI-enabled workflows and reinforce secure, reliable delivery across enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Proven programming in Python, Golang, TypeScript and related languages.
• Experience with GPT, LLM, RAG, Gen AI and Prompt Engineering.
• Experience in developing, debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
• Understanding of agile practices like CI/CD, resilience and security.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with engineers, data scientists and product owners to deliver production-ready products.
• Builds and maintains data pipelines for analytics, modeling, and training.
• Delivers secure, high-quality production code and reviews peers' work.
• Guides architecture governance and improves system design and reliability.
• Identifies data patterns to improve coding hygiene and architecture.
