Job summary

IC Resources is seeking an experienced electronics architect for satellite programmes. This principal individual contributor role focuses on defining and owning the electronics architecture at satellite level, with hands-on input across digital and power electronics and real-time liaison with mechanical, software and systems teams.

You'll translate system requirements into subsystem developments, supervise reviews, mentor engineers, and lead root-cause analysis when issues arise in development

Qualifications

• Significant experience in spacecraft or other high-reliability electronics development.
• Strong understanding of both digital and power electronics.
• Experience in satellite or complex systems-level electronics architecture.
• Ability to derive and manage requirements at subsystem level.
• Hands-on engineering background with capability to review others' work.
• Excellent English communication skills and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Define and own electronics architecture at satellite level, including architectural layout.
• Flow requirements down into subsystem developments and keep them traceable.
• Provide hands-on design input and technical review across digital and power electronics.
• Act as the link between the electronics team and other engineering disciplines.
• Lead problem-solving and root-cause analysis when issues arise in development or test.
• Support and mentor colleagues through reviews and technical guidance.
