Barton Search - Rec2Rec is seeking a Lead / Principal Recruitment Consultant to take ownership of an established Facilities Management desk. You will recruit across Hard FM, Soft FM, Building Services and related disciplines, billing actively from day one and expanding key client relationships.

Lead / Principal Recruitment Consultant - Facilities Management
Are you an experienced Facilities Management Recruitment Consultant who enjoys running a busy desk, developing client relationships and billing, but doesn't necessarily want to move into management?
I'm working with an established recruitment business looking to appoint a Lead / Principal Recruitment Consultant to take ownership of an existing Facilities Management desk.
And importantly, this isn't a cold start.
You’ll be taking over a genuinely warm desk, with established client relationships, live vacancies and an existing candidate network. There's already business to work on from day one, alongside plenty of opportunity to develop accounts and grow the desk further.
The desk is predominantly temporary and contract recruitment, so we're looking for someone who understands the pace of the market, enjoys managing ongoing client requirements and knows how to build a successful contract book.
You’ll be recruiting across the Facilities Management sector, including Hard FM, Soft FM, Building Maintenance, Technical Services and associated disciplines.
With an established client base and active candidate network already in place, your focus will be on maintaining and developing existing relationships, delivering against live requirements and identifying further opportunities within the market.
This is a senior, hands-on billing role, not a Divisional Manager position. There's no expectation to manage a team or step away from recruitment.
You’ll have the autonomy to run your desk, make commercial decisions and develop your market without being micromanaged.
The business genuinely embraces flexible working. They're happy for an experienced consultant to work from home regularly, but ideally want someone who also enjoys the office environment, collaborating with colleagues and being part of the team.
There's no rigid approach to where you need to be every day. It's about finding the right balance and trusting experienced people to do their jobs.
