Job summary

Allianz UK is seeking a Principal Technical Pricing Analyst to guide pricing capability across a major motor insurance portfolio. The role shapes models, methodology, and mindset, driving innovation and commercial impact. Hybrid work from UK offices is available, with global training and actuarial study support to grow your skills.

You will deputise for the manager, develop pricing models, back-test impacts, and communicate with stakeholders to drive adoption and robust technical deliveries.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of statistical modelling methods, especially GLMs.
• Knowledge of ML techniques, especially GBMs.
• Experience with large data sources and data preparation.
• Proficient in Excel, Python, SQL and Databricks or similar languages.
• Experience of WTW Radar and Emblem.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for the manager and mentor junior team members.
• Lead development, enhancement and review of pricing models, including modelling plans and data prep.
• Back testing and analysis to adjust pricing as required.
• Ensure project plans align with business objectives and communicate with stakeholders.
• Drive innovation in pricing approaches with new data sources.
• Share knowledge and best practices within the pricing team.
