Job summary

Allianz UK seeks a Principal Technical Pricing Analyst to lead pricing model development for the motor portfolio. You will shape models, data preparation, and methodological plans while mentoring junior colleagues to raise capability across the team.

Based on experience, you’ll engage with stakeholders to translate complex analytics into clear commercial impact, drive innovation in pricing approaches, and advance the business through robust technical delivery and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of GLMs used for pricing models.
• Experience with GBMs and ensemble methods for pricing.
• Experience working with large data sources and complex datasets.
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel, Python, SQL and Databricks.
• Familiarity with WTW Radar and Emblem pricing tools.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to plan projects with clear business impact.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for the pricing manager and mentor junior members.
• Lead development and review of pricing models and modelling plans.
• Back test and analyse model impact to justify price adjustments.
• Ensure projects align with business objectives and communicate with stakeholders.
• Drive pricing innovation and leverage new data sources.
• Share knowledge and best practices within the team.
