Job Description:

As a Principal Pre-Sales Solutions Architect at New Relic, located in London, you will support Open Telemetry initiatives within our Strategic SA Organization. Your role involves collaborating with regional teams on strategic engagements, leading OpenTelemetry POCs, and enabling the adoption of observability solutions. You will be instrumental in designing solutions, troubleshooting, and developing thought leadership artifacts to promote OpenTelemetry and our observability platform.

What you'll do

1. Lead technical evaluations and workshops in partnership with sales and product teams.
2. Accelerate observability maturity for customers and prospects.
3. Engage with customers onsite and remotely, providing technical consultancy and guidance.
4. Assess and design solutions to bridge gaps in customers' observability infrastructure.
5. Map customer outcomes to observability capabilities.
6. Create artifacts to build credibility in the OpenTelemetry space.
7. Train and enable field teams on OpenTelemetry implementation.
8. Continuously develop professional skills through training, reading, and mentorship.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or Golang.
• Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry standards and OSS like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience with observability platforms like New Relic, Splunk, DataDog, etc.
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with mobile platforms (iOS & Android).
• Contributions to open-source projects.
• Knowledge of industry standards like TOGAF & ITIL.
