Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs in the United Kingdom seeks a Lead Power Systems & Test Engineer to provide electrical leadership for the Marine Power Test Facility, overseeing maintenance and the installation, commissioning, and testing of new power systems and equipment.

Reporting to the Marine Power Test & Trials Manager, you will work within the engineering, test and commissioning team to ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance, managing SAP duties and safe systems of work for complex site

Qualifications

Electrical HV authorised and experience with safe systems of work.
Proven record of continuous professional development.
On-site commissioning experience for large projects.
Strong English communication, written and verbal.
Ability to obtain UK security clearances (SC/UK Eyes Only).

Responsibilities

Provide electrical leadership for the Marine Power Test Facility, balancing maintenance with installation, commissioning and testing of new power systems.
Report to the Marine Power Test & Trials Manager as a key member of the engineering test team.
Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; manage safe systems of work as SAP and coordinate complex site activities.
Produce and maintain documentation to required standards for commissioning and testing.
Supervise test activities, design documentation, and control room operations.
