Job summary

Power Conversion is seeking a Systems Electrical Engineer in the UK to design electrical systems for motors, generators and drives, from concept to delivery. You will align electrical and control architectures, define FDS and ICDs, and coordinate with CAD and power electronics teams to ensure robust, manufacturable solutions.

Candidates should have an electrical engineering background and be prepared for security clearance; expect collaboration with project managers and suppliers to meet project

Qualifications

• Define system-level requirements and communicate technical needs to design teams.
• Experience in electrical design for motors, drives and switchboards.
• Strong communication and organisational skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical systems design for motors, generators, drives and switchboards.
• Define electrical architecture and Functional Design Specification (FDS).
• Create ICDs detailing electrical and logical connections between subsystems.
• Configure controller software and develop Test & Validation plans.
• Support QA, factory acceptance testing and vendor issue resolution.
