Job summary

Broadridge Financial Solutions in the United Kingdom is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to backend services, APIs, data access, integrations, and some UI components in a cloud-based, event-driven architecture.

You will work with C#, .NET, PostgreSQL, AWS, Blazor, and MudBlazor, supporting Lambda, ECS, and EC2. The role emphasizes AI-assisted development tools and collaborative engineering practices within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer building production applications in C# and .NET.
• Experience building backend services and APIs.
• Experience with event-driven or service-based architectures is a plus.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and service-to-service communication.
• Familiarity with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience with automated tests and code quality practices.
• Comfortable working in a pragmatic, agile delivery environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain secure, reliable software.
• Develop and support .NET services and APIs within an event-driven microservices architecture.
• Contribute to integrations between systems using APIs and events.
• Work with PostgreSQL and data access patterns to deliver scalable solutions.
• Support applications hosted in AWS, including Lambda, ECS, and EC2.
• Contribute to UI development in Blazor and MudBlazor where needed.
• Break down requirements into clear technical tasks and participate in planning.
• Engage in peer reviews and uphold coding standards and quality practices.
• Write automated tests and troubleshoot production issues when needed.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and use AI-assisted tools responsibly.
