Principal Network Engineer

£85,000 plus annual bonus

Are you a highly experienced Network Engineer with expertise in diverse infrastructure? We are seeking a Network Engineer to establish a Technical Operations-first approach to cloud and on-premises setups.

The Network Engineer will be responsible for hosting environments, observability, high availability, information security with Infrastructure as Code (IaC). This is a senior role requiring experience managing multiple projects, including legacy infrastructure and migration to modern systems.

This role requires expertise in Palo Alto, Next-Gen Firewalls, and Prisma.

The primary focus will be on observability, high availability, and infosec, supporting system and network infrastructure including switches, routers, load balancers, firewalls, compute, storage, and virtualization. Experience in mergers & acquisitions is highly advantageous.

Technical Expertise – Must Haves

• Strong experience with Palo Alto portfolio and Prisma
• Deep understanding of BGP, with experience in designing, deploying, and troubleshooting
• Enterprise-level system and network design experience
• Experience working with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of IPSEC, DHCP, DNS
• Strong experience with Juniper switches & routers (Cisco considered)
• Experience with VXLAN and EVPN
• Load balancing experience (HAProxy, F5, A10, Kemp, etc.)
