Overview
Are you a passionate and experienced planning and regeneration senior lawyer seeking a leadership role? We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Principal Lawyer to lead our established Planning & Regeneration Team.
HB Public Law (HBPL) is an innovative and ambitious Lexcel-accredited legal shared service working for several client authorities. The post holder will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting the development of HBPL, working jointly with our Chief Legal Advisors and other Principal Lawyers within the practice.
About You
This is an exceptional opportunity for you to play a key role in large-scale planning, regeneration, and development schemes in and around London and beyond. You will undertake varied, high-quality work with supportive colleagues dedicated to public service and community impact.
The successful candidate will lead and develop the existing motivated team, personally handling complex planning and regeneration matters. You will also support our internal and external training programs and contribute to the professional development and internal progression of staff.
Your duties include advising and supporting corporate groups, senior officers, and elected members at committee meetings, ensuring appropriate attendance, and acting as the senior liaison point for client relationships.
Extensive legal planning and regeneration experience, passion for teamwork, and staff development are essential. Strong client care skills and the ability to build lasting relationships are also required.
