The SLLP is seeking to recruit a Principal Lawyer with a proven track record in local government law, either working in a council or private practice with a local government client base. The role involves managing a team of property lawyers handling complex matters such as new build housing, regeneration projects, governance processes for innovative delivery structures, acquisitions, disposals, and asset management. The successful candidate should be skilled in negotiations, providing advice on property matters, and overseeing team work, with a focus on developing skills and leadership, as well as legal and professional capabilities. Excellent communication, drafting skills, and the ability to advise diverse audiences, including senior officers and Members, are essential.
