Overview

Are you a passionate and experienced planning and regeneration senior lawyer seeking a leadership role? We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Principal Lawyer to lead our established Planning & Regeneration Team.

HB Public Law (HBPL) is an innovative and ambitious Lexcel-accredited legal shared service working for several client authorities. The post holder will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting the development of HBPL, working jointly with our Chief Legal Advisors and other Principal Lawyers within the practice.

About You

This is an exceptional opportunity to play a key role in large-scale planning, regeneration, and development schemes in and around London and beyond. You will undertake varied, high-quality work with like-minded and supportive colleagues who are dedicated to public service and making a difference in local communities.

The successful candidate will lead and develop the existing highly motivated team, as well as personally handling complex planning and regeneration matters. The role also involves supporting our internal and external training programs and aiding the development and internal progression of staff.

Responsibilities include advising and supporting corporate groups, senior officers, and elected members at committee, including ensuring committee attendance by colleagues where appropriate. You will serve as the senior liaison point for client relationships.

The ideal candidate will have extensive legal planning and regeneration experience, a passion for teamwork, and a commitment to developing others. Good client care skills and the ability to build strong working relationships are essential.
