At Hammersmith & Fulham, we are ambitious in reforming the Council to ensure this is a place for everybody. Within the Place Directorate, we aim to be efficient in everything that we do. We believe our residents deserve a place that is safe, clean and green, with high quality services they can rely on.

This is an exciting opportunity to take a lead for Hammersmith & Fulham on the regeneration of the White City area. As London’s flagship innovation district, White City is already home to over 100 world renown organisations and a hub for life sciences, mid-tech, engineering, medicine, media, and creative arts. Collaborative partnerships, anchored by Imperial College, NHS Trust, BBC, and Royal College of Art, are creating an environment in which innovation can thrive and opportunities are endless.

Alongside the area’s transformation as a global economic hub, White City is leading the way in securing inclusive growth through Upstream London that benefits all within the local community. Hammersmith & Fulham are working with our partners to deliver high quality education and community facilities, secure job pathways into the innovation sectors, provide lifelong learning opportunities, and create new and improved housing. We are also transforming the quality of the local environment, through greening initiatives, investment in sustainable transport, and the creation of award-winning parks and civic spaces.

The Team Leader will work across the multi-disciplinary teams of the Council, and collaborate with our innovation district partners, to develop and deliver a suite of regeneration projects ranging from public realm improvements to new community facilities and services.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in project management, the production of masterplans, strategies, and design briefs, developing proposals, including funding bids, and formulating project governance. They will also have knowledge and experience of managing staff, work programmes, and budgets. The role requires a strong ability to communicate effectively to different audiences including stakeholders and local communities.

You will be ambitious for new opportunities, delivery driven, and want to work as part of dynamic and friendly team to help meet the Council’s placemaking objectives. This role is key to the delivery of the shared ambitions the Council and our partners have for the White City area, that will make a real difference for our residents.

Our mission is to be the best council. To do this we need the best people to help build our vision. If you’re looking to develop your career in a fast-paced, professional environment whilst making a difference, then we look forward to hearing from you.
