Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Principal Highways Engineer for a contract role in the UK. The role provides technical leadership across highway design and development schemes, with responsibility for Section 278 and Section 38 agreements.

You will lead delivery of highway and infrastructure projects from design to implementation, review highway agreements, and produce designs and technical reports while coordinating with authorities, developers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in highways engineering and infrastructure development.
• Strong knowledge of highway design principles, standards and industry best practice.
• Practical experience with Section 278 and Section 38 agreements.
• Ability to lead and review highway design and technical documentation.
• Understanding of highway approval processes and local authority requirements.
