Job summary

Arcadis in the United Kingdom is seeking a Principal/Associate Technical Director to lead environmental and consenting work on large-scale design and build projects. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams and shape environmental strategy for private and public clients across energy, rail, highways and water sectors.

The role requires a strong track record in EIA, environmental management and stakeholder engagement, with Chartered status or working towards.

Qualifications

Excellent working knowledge of environmental and consenting processes, including EIA practices and case law.
Experience with Contractors and influencing sustainability through design.
Experience across multiple project types and strong leadership in multi-disciplinary teams.
Strong report writing, presentations, and quality assurance experience.
Commercial awareness including forecasting and project management.

Responsibilities

Lead on environmental and planning work across multi-disciplinary teams for UK and global projects.
Drive business development, win opportunities, and expand the portfolio in the D&B sector.
Engage with clients and stakeholders, building cross-selling opportunities.
Manage projects, ensuring technical, quality, cost, and safety performance.
Collaborate with Arcadis colleagues worldwide to deliver integrated solutions.
