Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Scotland-based Principal/Associate Technical Director to lead environmental planning and consenting work across multi-disciplinary teams. You will drive project development, coordinate with clients and regulators, and deliver high-quality environmental outcomes for major infrastructure and development schemes.

The role emphasizes leadership, business development, and expert knowledge of EIA and UK planning law within a global environmental team.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of environmental and consenting processes including EIA practices and case law.
• Experience across a range of project types in environmental planning and sustainability.
• Strong report writing, verbal and presentation skills; ability to review others' work for quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination and delivery of planning/environmental work by multi-disciplinary teams across UK/international projects.
• Drive business development: create opportunities and lead project delivery to build the portfolio; collaborate with sub-consultants.
