Job Title: Principal Civil Engineer

We are looking to strengthen our engineering team with a Principal Civil Engineer based out of Exeter or Bristol offices, with hybrid working available.

You will report directly to the Regional Discipline Lead or Regional Engineering Lead. Your role will be to provide high-quality engineering design services to help the company minimize risks and maximize profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts. This involves coordinating the design process and producing design documents and drawings, considering health and safety requirements, specifications, and standards related to the contract.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Produce cost-effective design layouts that meet specifications and can be effectively constructed and commissioned. Consider all costs associated with design and construction, including design time, materials, erection, and impacts on other disciplines.
2. Utilize standard practices wherever possible.
3. Provide estimates and feedback to the Proposals department.
4. Follow procedures and processes to support the department's development.
5. Assist in developing, monitoring, and updating procedures and processes.
6. Coordinate designs with all relevant disciplines to ensure integrated and efficient project execution.
7. Maintain accurate files and records throughout the contract duration.
8. Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering quality work and fostering a customer-centric culture.
9. Assist in supervising and developing staff members.
10. Promote a safe working environment for all staff.
11. Minimize waste from departmental activities.
12. Ensure designs incorporate environmental considerations.
13. Ensure all designs adhere to health and safety requirements.
