Job summary

Ultra Intelligence & Communications in Maidenhead seeks a Principal Software Engineer to lead embedded and application software within the Cyber UK Business Unit. You will architect, implement and test complex systems across multiple programmes, guiding engineers and ensuring security and quality.

The role is on-site in Maidenhead with opportunities for leadership across teams. The position requires strong C/C++ skills, RTOS/Linux experience, and a track record applying modern software

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, mathematics or science-based subject or equivalent experience.
• Significant embedded product development experience (bare-metal/RTOS/Linux).
• Experience with C and C++ and OO design; strong testing mindset.

Responsibilities

• Architect, specify requirements, design and test embedded/app software.
• Lead software activities with a team of engineers; plan and estimate work.
• Ensure secure, high-quality software and timely delivery across programmes.
