Job summary

Redline Group Ltd is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for a leading R&D organisation near Leicestershire. You will provide technical leadership on complex embedded software and DSP development for 5G communications systems.

The role requires strong experience in bare-metal and embedded C, Linux-based development, and a hands-on approach to architecture and design decisions. You will mentor engineers and help shape product direction within a growing technology company.

Qualifications

• BEng/BSc or MSc/MEng in Electronics, Telecommunications, Software Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant experience in DSP, embedded software and 5G systems.
• Strong bare-metal and embedded C development; guide architecture decisions.
• Experience in Linux-based development environments.
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities across the full development lifecycle.

• Take technical ownership of embedded software and DSP development activities.
• Support design and implementation of advanced communications systems.
• Lead and influence software design across the full development lifecycle.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
