Job summary

Vector Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Principal Electronics & Software Engineer to lead technically challenging product development programs. The role combines hands-on design with leadership across the development lifecycle, from concept through to manufacture, and involves building long-term client relationships.

You will own electronic system architecture, embedded software development (C/C++), and mentoring of engineering teams while collaborating with clients and senior stakeholders to shape

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering, Physics or a related discipline.
• Strong background in analogue and digital electronics design.
• Embedded software development experience using C/C++.
• Proven track record delivering products from concept through to manufacture.
• Experience leading engineers, projects or multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to build trusted client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of technically challenging product development programmes across the full lifecycle.
• Provide leadership throughout the development lifecycle while remaining hands-on.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers and senior stakeholders to deliver innovative products.
• Identify future opportunities for collaboration and client engagement.
• Mentor and develop engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
