Job summary

Redline Group Ltd in Cambridge is seeking a Principal Electronics & Embedded Software Engineer to lead multidisciplinary teams and take ownership of full product architectures from concept through to manufacture. You will develop electronics and embedded software (C/C++) for complex new products, drive integration to production, and guide client engagements while mentoring junior engineers on the team.

This full-time, permanent role offers exposure to regulated, safety-critical markets,

Qualifications

• Experience designing, prototyping and testing electronic circuits and systems.
• Embedded software development in C/C++ for medical/tech products.
• Ability to work across concept to manufacture with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to engage clients.
• Eligibility to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available).

Responsibilities

• Develop electronics and embedded software for complex new products.
• Lead integration of electromechanical designs to production.
• Own product architecture from concept to launch.
• Deliver progress updates to clients and guide project teams.
• Support requirements, schematic capture, PCB layout, and validation.
• Assist planning, resourcing, and leadership activities.
• Build client relationships and support opportunities.
