Job summary

A leading wireless communications company is seeking a Wireless Software Engineer (5G) in London with a hybrid working model. The role involves developing protocol stack software across next-generation wireless platforms. Ideal candidates will have strong experience in C/C++ development, an understanding of wireless protocol stacks (L1–L4), and knowledge of 3GPP 4G/5G standards. This position offers opportunities to work on advanced 5G and mission-critical communications systems.

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing software in C/C++.
• Experience working on wireless protocol stacks (L1–L4).
• Understanding of 3GPP 4G/5G standards.
• Experience with real-time or embedded systems.
• Knowledge of Linux-based development environments.
• Ideally, exposure to PHY layer, MAC or higher-layer protocol development.

This established engineering business is developing advanced 5G and mission-critical communications systems, delivering high-performance software solutions for global connectivity. The team are now looking for a Wireless Software Engineer (5G) to support the development of protocol stack software across next-generation wireless platforms.

You’ll work on low-level through to higher-layer protocol development (L1–L4), contributing to the design, implementation and optimisation of 5G communication systems.
