Job summary

Onyx-Conseil is seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer (DSP) in Macclesfield. Expect 4 days on-site with Friday working from home, a salary band of £55,000–£65,000 plus bonus and an 8% employer pension contribution. The role spans hardware and embedded firmware design across DSP technologies.

You will lead digital/analogue circuit design, signal processing development, and PCB layout for new products while supporting existing lines in a collaborative engineering environment.

Principal Electronics Engineer (DSP) – Macclesfield (4 Days On-Site, Friday WFH)

£55,000 - £65,000 + Bonus + 8% Employer Pension Contribution + Flexible Working

Are you a Senior/Principal Electronics Engineer with a strong background in hardware and firmware development, looking to join a specialist engineering business where you can play a key role in the design of cutting-edge technology?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly technical engineering team, taking ownership of the design and development of new electronic hardware and embedded firmware solutions while supporting and enhancing existing product lines.

Working on advanced sensing and signal processing technologies, you will be involved throughout the full product development lifecycle, from concept and design through to testing, validation and ongoing maintenance. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working across both analogue and digital electronics.

The successful candidate will possess strong hardware design expertise, embedded C programming skills and extensive experience with digital signal processing techniques (DSP). Any experience with optoelectronics, ARM microcontrollers, FreeRTOS or advanced PCB layout techniques would be highly advantageous.
