Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior/Principal Electronics Engineer in Macclesfield to own hardware and embedded firmware design for advanced DSP-driven products.

You will work across analogue and digital electronics, perform signal processing, ADC/DAC, and PCB layout for new developments; ARM STM32, FreeRTOS experience and optoelectronics knowledge are a plus. Hybrid work: 4 days on-site, Friday WFH. Salary £55,000–£65,000 with 8% pension contribution and a bonus.

Qualifications

• Strong hardware design and embedded firmware experience.
• Proficiency with DSP, signal processing and ADC/DAC systems.
• Embedded C programming for microcontroller-based designs.
• Experience with ARM STM32 and FreeRTOS is preferred.
• HDI PCB techniques or optics/optoelectronics knowledge is advantageous.

Are you a Senior/Principal Electronics Engineer with a strong background in hardware and firmware development, looking to join a specialist engineering business where you can play a key role in the design of cutting-edge technology?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly technical engineering team, taking ownership of the design and development of new electronic hardware and embedded firmware solutions while supporting and enhancing existing product lines.

Working on advanced sensing and signal processing technologies, you will be involved throughout the full product development lifecycle, from concept and design through to testing, validation and ongoing maintenance. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working across both analogue and digital electronics.

The successful candidate will possess strong hardware design expertise, embedded C programming skills and extensive experience with digital signal processing techniques (DSP). Any experience with optoelectronics, ARM microcontrollers, FreeRTOS or advanced PCB layout techniques would be highly advantageous.
