Job summary

Principal Mechanical Engineer role within the Anglian Water @One Alliance, part of the Mott MacDonald Bentley family. Lead mechanical design delivery for major water infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, sustainable and cost-efficient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
• Preferably chartered, or working towards chartered status.
• Proven experience in mechanical design, ideally in water or similar complex infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of industry standards, health and safety legislation, and construction principles.
• Leadership experience with coaching, mentoring and developing others.
• Proficiency in CAD and engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review mechanical designs to ensure compliance, safety and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Promote use of digital tools and modular construction techniques.
