Hoare Lea is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead high‑quality, sustainable electrical design across multiple built environment projects. You will be based in Plymouth or Exeter, join a collaborative team, and help deliver complex schemes on time and to high standards.

Expected to have Chartered status or equivalent, with strong knowledge of industry software (Revit, AutoCAD) and regulations, and a track record of leading design teams within a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified and recognised in the industry, preferably with Chartered status.
• Proven technical knowledge in electrical/building services design and regulations.
• Experience leading integrated design teams on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design delivery for significant and complex building services schemes.
• Define and manage design briefs with clients and consultants.
• Represent Hoare Lea at project meetings and promote services.
• Coordinate internal delivery teams and external consultants.
• Ensure outcomes meet quality, cost, and programme targets.
