Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UK is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the Electrical & ICA design team within the D&AT Practice. You will drive delivery on complex projects, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams across the UK and overseas to produce high-quality electrical design outputs for water sector clients.

The role requires Chartered Engineer status, strong leadership and a deep understanding of electrical design standards, with hybrid working and a base in offices including

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer status is required.
• Proven experience coordinating or managing an Electrical engineering design delivery team in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical designs and water industry standards (WIMES).
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills within a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate or manage a team of Electrical & ICA engineers for delivery of technical design work on complex multi-disciplinary projects.
• Manage time and budgets of the Electrical & ICA team to key project milestones and programmes.
• Lead and produce technical deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, Cable Block Diagrams, Load Schedules, MCC specifications, Control Philosophies, Network Architecture.
• Provide technical input into project designs for Electrical aspects and work with project management to meet milestones.
• Collaborate with client and AtkinsRéalis teams across locations.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues and grow team capabilities.
