Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to design large industrial facilities such as power stations, large manufacturing plants, and docks, with hybrid working in Glasgow or Reading. Lead a team of EC&I engineers, develop drawings, technical specifications and contract documents, perform electrical design calculations, and coordinate with safety and systems groups.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
• Experience designing HV/LV distribution systems and protection.
• Experience with LV cable sizing and AMTECH software.
• Experience in electrical building services design.
• Contracting environment and site experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead EC&I engineers in delivering engineering deliverables across project stages.
• Prepare drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Perform design calculations and evaluations for industrial equipment and systems.
• Collaborate with Safety Case and System Engineering teams.
• Support planning, cost development and scheduling for projects.
