Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead multi-discipline design teams across the full lifecycle of nuclear and defence projects in the UK. The role entails defining project scope, coordinating with project managers, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

You will report to the Engineering Director and drive technical decisions while engaging with stakeholders. Hybrid working with some site visits to Reading are required, and a degree plus CEng are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
• CEng member of a recognised professional institute.
• Experience in leading multi-discipline design teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-discipline teams of design engineers and technicians across the full project delivery lifecycle.
• Ensure governance of design and development processes and compliance with standards.
• Apply systems engineering principles and appropriate software tools for requirements capture.
• Deliver engineering outcomes within agreed cost and schedule targets.
• Work with Project/Programme Managers and stakeholders to align technical solutions.
