Job summary

MATCHTECH GROUP is seeking a highly experienced Associate / Principal Electrical Design Engineer in Manchester. This senior role leads major data centre electrical design projects, providing technical governance, commercial oversight and leadership to engineering teams.

You will shape business development, client relationships and the growth strategy for the Northern office. The role offers a high-profile opportunity with leadership responsibilities, travel as required, and a strong salary

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in an engineering design consultancy environment.
• Experience delivering complex electrical design projects within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, REVIT, MicroStation, RELUX, AMTECH and DIALUX.
• Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards Chartership.

Responsibilities

• Lead major data centre electrical design projects, ensuring technical excellence and governance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Support business development, client management and fee proposals.
• Oversee project delivery, budgets, timescales and risk management.
