At Cavendish Nuclear, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as a Principal EC&I Engineer at either Preston or Warrington sites.

The role

This role involves managing the delivery of engineering and technical activities across our projects, supporting nuclear decommissioning, the Continuous at Sea Deterrent, and nuclear power plant operations. Our mission is to clean up nuclear legacy, contribute to national security, energy supply, and meet net zero commitments.

• Manage customer relationships, interface with customers and supply chain on design issues, and assist with procurement specifications.
• Ensure procedures, codes, and standards are correctly identified and applied.
• Review, verify, and approve all deliverables under your control.
• Conduct technical investigations and analyses for problem-solving and design improvements.
• Produce, review, and verify calculations, analyses, reports, specifications, and method statements.
• Act as Technical Authority or Engineering Lead when authorized.

This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, with hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience

• Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams on various project types.
• Proven experience in handling a range of tasks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interface across disciplines.

Essential qualifications

• An engineering degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, with demonstrable experience.
