Job Description:

We are seeking 3 x Principal C&I Engineers for initial 12-month contracts.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid working - 2 days per fortnight on-site with the client based in Barrow-in-Furness.

The Role
  1. Develop and manage requirements and acceptance criteria specific to a system or product and/or across a system of systems, platform or programme.
  2. Understand the contractual and performance requirements for various systems, supporting the definition and associated acceptance criteria and events through design, build, integration, installation, and commissioning activities.
  3. Produce documentation required to support the design review process, including diagrams, technical specifications, supporting calculations, design evidence, and justifications.
  4. Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within the requirements management tools, and endorsed by the appropriate level of authority.
  5. Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and that work adheres to company, safety, environmental, contractual, and local business processes, standards, procedures, and documentation.
The Candidate
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and control system theory, including PID control.
  • Experience in electrical circuits design, EMC precautions, and power supply characteristics.
  • Understanding of Safety Integrity Levels and BS EN 61508 or 61511 standards.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming.
