Job summary

Turner & Townsend seeks a Principal Designer to deliver CDM and health & safety consultancy from our Bristol office to existing and new clients. The successful candidate will come from an architectural or design background, with a strong understanding of the design and construction process and the ability to integrate health and safety considerations into design solutions and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in architecture or built environment disciplines.
• Membership in relevant professional bodies encouraged (APS/RIBA/CIAT/ARB/IOSH).
• Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and health & safety integration in design.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to plan and organise workload to meet deadlines.
• Extensive knowledge of construction industry and CDM Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Principal Designer, CDM and health & safety consultancy services from the Bristol office.
• Review and coordinate design information to identify and reduce health and safety risks.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, contractors and clients on design risk management.
• Support clients in understanding and discharging legal duties and regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with SHQ and Turner & Townsend colleagues to support team effectiveness and project profitability.
