Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly experienced Principal Designer to ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act (BSA) and Building Regulations for complex projects. The role is fully hybrid and suitable for contract or permanent appointment across HRBs and non-HRBs.

You will lead design and regulatory submissions, coordinate with clients, contractors and regulators, and drive build programs with business continuity at the forefront, delivering projects safely and to programme.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Principal Designer or senior design role with CDM Health & Safety responsibilities.
• In-depth practical knowledge of Building Safety Act 2022, Building Regulations, and related legislation.
• Proven experience assisting clients with applications to the Building Safety Regulator.

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead Principal Designer for HRBs and non-HRBs under BSA/BR.
• Develop, submit, and manage applications to the Building Safety Regulator (BSR).
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, sub-contractors, consultants, and regulators to deliver projects.
