Job summary

Knightwood Associates in Central London seeks an Architect or Design Manager to undertake Principal Designer duties under the Building Safety Act. You will help manage design risk and compliance across project lifecycles, collaborating with clients and design teams on HRB and non-HRB projects.

The role emphasises regulatory understanding, CDM compliance, and strong communication. You will work within a seasoned team delivering design governance and information management across RIBA Stages 2-6.

Qualifications

The result is an exciting opportunity for an Architect or Design Manager experienced in undertaking, supporting or advising on Principal Designer duties under the Building Safety Act to join their accomplished team. As a Principal Designer, you will play a key role in ensuring design compliance and managing design risk throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with a varied portfolio of clients across RIBA Stages 2-6.

Key Responsibilities

• Acting as Principal Designer under the Building Safety Act.
• Leading design risk management and compliance activities.
• Advising clients and project teams on regulatory requirements and best practice.
