We are looking for a dedicated individual to join Stantec as a Principal Designer and CDM Advisor. This role offers a chance to significantly contribute to the UK's energy transition.
You will join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team working on cutting-edge hydropower and pumped storage hydro solutions, such as Coire Glas in Scotland, Koysha in Ethiopia, and Dinorwig in Wales, as well as other energy projects across waste-to-energy, nuclear, hydrogen generation, and transmission and distribution.

As a Principal Designer and CDM Advisor, responsibilities include those outlined under CDM 2015, including acting as a CDM Advisor to support our clients where necessary. This role demands a deep understanding of design and construction processes and effective communication skills. You must be well-versed in the legal requirements of CDM and other relevant legislation.
About You
Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant construction, health and safety, or engineering discipline. Chartered status and additional Health and Safety qualifications such as NEBOSH are preferred.
Experience: Proven experience in a consultancy environment, with the ability to coach and mentor junior team members and collaborate across the business.
Skills: Strong understanding of innovative solutions and industry best practices, with experience in managing projects from concept to completion and in-depth knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015.
Passion: A commitment to sustainability and a desire to make a positive environmental impact.
