Job description

Job Role: Principal Designer

Our client, a leading multi-disciplinary firm with several offices across the UK, is experiencing continued growth. They are seeking to appoint a Principal Designer at their Manchester office within the Health and Safety team.

Responsibilities:

1. Serve as Principal Designer on diverse construction projects, ensuring full compliance with CDM 2015 regulations.
2. Plan, manage, monitor, and coordinate health and safety during the pre-construction phase.
3. Gather pre-construction information to advise the client and provide necessary information to internal architectural staff and contractors.
4. Identify and eliminate foreseeable health and safety risks, or implement measures to reduce or control them.
5. Ensure effective communication and cooperation among all parties involved in the pre-construction phase.
6. Coordinate with the principal contractor and inform them of any risks requiring control during the construction phase.
7. This is a hybrid role requiring travel to site.

Requirements:

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate
• APS Membership
• At least 1 year of experience in a Principal Designer role

The salary ranges from £45,000 to £55,000, complemented by an excellent company package.
