Job description

Our client is a leading multi-disciplinary firm with several offices across the UK, experiencing continued growth. Due to their success, they are looking to appoint another Principal Designer at their Manchester office within the Health and Safety team.

Job role:

1. Principal Designer on diverse construction projects, ensuring full compliance with CDM 2015 regulations.
2. Plan, manage, monitor, and coordinate health and safety in the pre-construction phase.
3. Bring together pre-construction information to advise the client, while providing the information internal architectural staff and contractors need to carry out their duties.
4. Eliminate foreseeable health and safety risks to anyone affected by the work and, where that is not possible, take steps to reduce or control those risks.
5. Ensure that everyone involved in the pre-construction phase communicates and cooperates, coordinating their work wherever required.
6. Liaise with the principal contractor, keeping them informed of any risks that need to be controlled during the construction phase.
7. Hybrid role with travel to site required.

Requirements:

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate
• APS Membership
• At least 1 year of experience in a Principal Designer role

The salary will be in the region of £45,000-£55,000, plus an excellent company package.
