AECOM is offering an exciting role for a Junior CDM Principal Designer to join our award-winning Environment & Energy SH&E Team. This role can be based at any of our primary UK offices, with a preference for Manchester and Birmingham.

The Junior CDM Principal Designer will support and promote best practices in health, safety, and wellbeing across projects, collaborating with teams and clients to deliver Principal Designer services within our Energy business.

You will report to the Environment & Energy Principal Designer Lead for the UK&I region and contribute to developing our Principal Designer resources, fostering professional growth.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Plan, manage, monitor, and coordinate the pre-construction phase of projects with design teams.
• Ensure the application of general principles of prevention during pre-construction.
• Ensure compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
• Coordinate duty holders to ensure cooperation during pre-construction.
• Assist clients with pre-construction information.
• Liaise with principal contractors and share relevant information for the construction phase, including preparing the Health and Safety File at project handover.
