Description
The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Principal Consultant to join our Sustainability Consulting team. You will be responsible for developing and delivering advisory programs for our global client base, and will operate as a subject matter expert in delivery and innovation. The person in this role will have the opportunity to build strong client relationships and shape sustainability strategies for numerous Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, while helping to grow the Incendium team. We are an agile consulting business, with our core team based out of our London office, complemented by other global office locations, including New York and Chicago, alongside a combination of remote work and at client locations.

What will you be doing?
  • Establish strong, trust-based relationships with clients, acting as a strategic partner and trusted advisor.
  • Leadership of key client instructions, supporting development and implementation of client sustainability strategies across varied organisations and sectors, ensuring deliverables are met within scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop ambitions, targets and strategic roadmaps that align with their business objectives.
  • Design and support implementation of strategic organisational changes, addressing business processes, stakeholder engagement, and governance to support evolving ambitions
  • Oversight of strategic data insights and reporting outputs, aligning with frameworks such as SBTi, CDP & TCFD.
  • Support the growth of the Incendium business through building client relationships, building our team and championing the Incendium culture and ways of working.

Who are we looking for?
  • Alignment with our company behaviours: Play To Win, Own Your Outcome, Solve It Together, Help Each Other Grow
  • Experience thriving in a strategic sustainability team environment either as a consultant or client side, with experience of designing & operationalising sustainability in business strategies
  • Experience working within a real estate consulting business is beneficial so you can quickly link up our wider organization across Incendium and The Instant Group.
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality deliverables, team cohesiveness and client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, adapting strategies as needed to meet client needs and industry trends.
  • Experience using communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, build rapport, and foster teamwork.
  • Experience interpreting complex data to deliver actionable insights.
  • Bachelor's degree in a sustainability-related subject is of interest but not a necessity. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • At Incendium we do not define experience and skills in years, so purely as a guide as we often get asked, our Principal Consultants typically have at least 5 years of experience in a similar environment.

What's in it for you?
  • Competitive pay scales reviewed annually
  • Discretionary annual company bonus
  • Private healthcare and life cover
  • Unlimited Holidays
  • Hybrid working with a focus on connectivity, flexibility and bigger relationships as part of our workplace experience strategy
  • Bespoke training programmes and our bespoke ‘Instant Learning’ portal
  • Reward Gateway (discounts!)
  • Wellbeing Centre
  • Global Employee Assistance Programme
  • Brilliant colleague recognition scheme, with quarterly and annual ‘Let’s Celebrate’ awards (with great prizes!)
  • Generous referral scheme
  • Laptop / tech provided
  • Early finish on a Friday!
