An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Clinical Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly team and help shape the future of our clinical pharmacy services at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals.
We are looking for someone with experience and a passion for hospital pharmacy. You must be an enthusiastic, motivated, and patient-oriented pharmacy technician dedicated to patient safety. You will work with and lead the Clinical Pharmacy Technical Team to help implement, deliver, and continually improve technical and clinical support to the wards.
You will need excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a large multidisciplinary team. You should be friendly, approachable, adaptable, flexible, willing to learn new skills, and committed to continuous professional development.
You must be a pharmacy technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and have experience in line managing staff.
This is a full-time position, and the post holder will participate in cross-site working, weekend, and late duties as per rota.
The post holder will lead and work alongside a team of clinical pharmacy technicians and assistants, providing high-quality, patient-centered clinical pharmacy services on the wards. Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy of medication reconciliation, managing patients' own medications, and supporting efficient one-stop dispensing practices.
