Job summary

Wood is seeking a Principal Civil/Structural Engineer in Reading for a hybrid role on a 6–12 month contract. You will lead design and assessment of steel and reinforced concrete structures for industrial projects and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver detailed drawings and documentation.

Experience with STAAD.Pro, Foundation 3D and other engineering software is valued, as is prior involvement in Middle East projects and energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

Engineering degree and professional registration preferred
Experience with UK/National and international codes and standards
Experience in FEED/EPC stages of large Oil & Gas or energy transition projects

Responsibilities

Analysis and design of steel and concrete structures to international and company codes and standards
Develop basis of design, material specs and technical reports
Liaise with designers to produce structural and foundation drawings
Perform structural and foundation analyses and prepare design calculations

Skills

Engineering degree

Chartered engineer

Codes familiarity

FEED/EPC experience
