Job summary

Wood is seeking expressions of interest for a Senior Structural Designer to support several new projects. The role is based in our Stockton office and will be onsite four days a week, with hybrid flexibility where appropriate.

The position involves creating Civil & Structural models and drawings using E3D, Tekla, AutoCAD and CADS RC, coordinating with teams and ensuring delivery to schedule and standards while following CDM regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing Civil & Structural models and detailed drawings.
• Proficient with E3D, Tekla, AutoCAD and CADS RC.
• Ability to deliver drawings to schedule and quality standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and support junior designers.
• Adhere to safety and CDM regulations.

Wood is seeking expressions of Interest for new roles of Senior Structural designer to support with several recent project wins within the business. This role is expected to be recruited on a 6-12 month fixed term contract basis.

The role is based in our Stockton office and will be expected to work onsite 4 days a week.

The Role

The role involves preparing Civil & Structural models and detailed drawings using E3D, Tekla, AutoCAD, and CADS RC. Responsibilities include producing steelwork, concrete, foundation, drainage, and underground utility layouts, while ensuring all drawings and models are delivered in line with project requirements, schedules, and quality standards.

The role also includes coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, carrying out drawing and model checks, participating in model reviews, and supporting junior designers where required. The position requires adherence to safety and CDM regulations, maintaining project standards, and communicating any design updates or changes to the Lead Designer or Lead Engineer.
